Caffeine

Q: Will I have too much caffeine with the coffee omakase?
A: No need to worry! Each menu item contains about the equivalent of one shot of espresso, comparable to a large Americano. Decaf options are also available for those sensitive to caffeine.

Cancellation Policy

Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: When you book through Resy, your credit card is taken as a guarantee, but not charged upfront. If you need to cancel and do not attend your reservation, a $10 per person fee will be charged to the card on file.

Group Size & Sharing

Q: Can three people share two omakase courses?
A: To provide the best experience for everyone, we kindly request that each guest orders their own omakase course.

Q: Can we make a group reservation?
A: Yes, group reservations are available for up to 12 guests. Dedicated slots are offered during weekend mornings and evenings. If you have a special request outside of these times, please contact us by email and we’ll do our best to assist. Please note that weekends can be lively, so for a more relaxed experience, we recommend visiting on weekdays.

Q: What coffee menus are included in the course?
A: We currently offer two courses:

  1. Autumn Bites: Pairing Omakase — a seasonal 5-course experience inspired by autumn and winter.

  2. Best of 2024: Timeless Flavors — a collection of our most beloved creations from the past year.

Q: Who creates the omakase menu?
A: All menus are crafted by our baristas, who are passionate about creating memorable coffee experiences.

Q: Are vegan or gluten-free options available?
A: Options are limited at this time, but please let us know your dietary restrictions in advance, and we will adjust whenever possible.

Reservations

Q: How do I make a reservation?
A: All reservations are made through Resy. Simply search for “gute Leute,” select your preferred date and time, and confirm your booking.

Q: When do next month’s reservations open?
A: Reservations are released on a monthly basis. For example, in October you can book both October and November dates, and in November you can book November and December dates. All reservations are available through Resy.

Q: What happens if the available times don’t show up on Resy?
A: If you don’t see your preferred time, please send us an email. We’ll do our best to accommodate your request.

Q: Can I walk in without a reservation?
A: Walk-ins are generally not available due to limited seating. However, if you visit on a weekday, we’ll do our best to find a spot for you.

Q: How long does a coffee omakase session take?
A: Each session lasts about 80 minutes. Please arrive on time to enjoy the full experience.

Q: What happens if I’m late for my reservation?
A: If you arrive late, we may not be able to extend your session to the full 80 minutes, as we need to prepare for the next guest. Please make every effort to arrive on time.

Seating

Q: Do I need to sit at the bar for the omakase?
A: Yes, the omakase is designed to be enjoyed at the bar, where you can watch your barista prepare each course and learn more about the flavors. Please note that bar seating is limited to 6 seats. For group reservations or on busy weekends, seating may be assigned based on the café’s availability.
